SCOPE artist GRANTs

Small Creatures developed SCOPE Grants for specific reasons:

1. To provide support for artists through financial, creative, and promotional support

2. To allow equitable access to creative support at all career and interest levels

3. To create room to explore ideas regardless of outcome

4. To build creative community one artist and project at a time

SCOPE Grants range in funding amount and project timelines, but are open in all other respects: all ages, locations, mediums, experience levels (including none), and project types. We want to support your specific vision, and you…period.

Past applicants ranged from under 10 to 60+ years of age, in experience from first attempts to decades’ worth of exploration. Creative mediums included archival works, collage, drawing, fiber, film, graphic design, installation, painting, performance, photography, sculpture, storytelling, video, VR, and writing. While this is a wide range of examples, we are open to even more.

SCOPE grantees receive direct funding for projects, access to creative workshops, marketing consultations, career planning sessions, and promotion through our channels. Perhaps most importantly, SCOPE grantees join a growing and close-knit community of creatives.
